Unmatched because it is in Chinatown!

Yes, we know, you’ve been waiting two long years for this to happen.

To make up for the wait, we are making the 2022 Ottawa CHINATOWN Night Market an event you’d never forget!

Ottawa Chinatown will be a melting pot of cultural foods from your local favorites to out-of-town vendors, and  loads of street pedlars that will bring the most exotic experience to Ottawa.

This three-day event will also feature a wide variety of non-stop multicultural performances, such as dragon and lion dance, live music, martial arts, and instrument performances many have not seen before! Please download the Show Schedule for more information.

Ottawa Chinatown is genuinely a Multicultural Village with an Asian Flavour, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Mexican, Indian, Korean, Japanese, middle-eastern, Canadian, Brazilian… the list goes very long.

Come out with your family and friends, and enjoy a unique selection of street vendors and entertainment this weekend in our very own Chinatown!

Support for this project was provided by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario announced a $23.25-million investment to establish My Main Street — a two- year program to support the recovery and revitalization of main streets and local businesses in southern Ontario.

• My Main Street is helping to rebuild local main streets by driving business and restoring vibrancy to local communities across southern Ontario as Canadians recover from the pandemic.

• Through the My Main Street Community Activator program, the Canadian Urban Institute is delivering Government of Canada support across southern Ontario for local community placemaking projects, including events, activities and community enhancements designed to draw visitors and increase local vibrancy.

Chinese Cuisine and Hospitality Association of Canada (CCHAC) is proud to organize Ottawa Chinatown’s signature event. Registered in Ontario, Canada in 2016, CCHAC is a not for profit organization formed voluntarily by individuals and groups in hospitality related industries.

CCHAC is committed to food and culture communications between Asian countries and Canada, in cooperation with stakeholders to advocate and develop Chinese cuisine culture overseas and stimulate the industry development and monitor the skills development in the sector.
