Description: Throughout the walk, participants will learn about one of Ottawa’s most diverse and vibrant neighbourhoods, its history, cultures, and architectural details, including public murals, sidewalk art, and of course the Chinatown Arch.

About the walk leader: Don Kwan is an Ottawa-based multidisciplinary artist, third-generation Chinese Canadian, who turns to his own experiences and challenges as a gay, East Asian artist to ground in broader conversations about identity, representations, and inter-generational memory-making in the diaspora. Accessibility: The walk will follow city sidewalks. Note that the tour route is mainly uphill except for the July 20th and Sept 28th tours, which will begin at the east end of Chinatown at Bay St.
