The Story of Shen Nong Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Centre

“Do you think I’m your Tylenol?” masseur and acupuncture practitioner Dr. Yuqiu Guo asks laughingly of an elderly lady who’d first come for a pain in her shoulder, then one in her leg. The patient smiles, replies with a nod. Asians grow up learning that both massage and acupuncture can ease chronic lower back problems, allergies, even help neurological conditions. And who better to consult than Dr. Guo with her Chinese M.D., Japanese PhD in Western medicine and Canadian diploma in Acupuncture (DAc), not to mention her extraordinary experience as Chief Doctor at China’s Harbin Medical University Hospital?

One Vietnamese man, now 103 years old, came here—first time ever!—after a fall. Of course, consultations are provided for all ages for relief from fatigue to epilepsy. Visit the centre and see that Dr. Guo is not only expert in Chinese herbal medicine but qigong philosophy and meditation (see website for explanation). A knowledgeable woman.
