The second Chinatown Remixed Art Show from May 8 to June 8 saw Chinatown graced with the art of over 50 artists in 40 venues along Somerset Street West. Visitors enjoyed a full month of discovering the area and the art by taking our Self-Guided Walking Tour. Many will be returning throughout the year.
The new Wall Garden mural project has selected three finalists from numerous submissions. The artwork created by Patrick Thompson and Alexa Hatanaka has won most of the votes. We will invite the winning artists to meet with the property owner to discuss details of the future mural.

Our second annual Spring Art Tour kicks off 2pm – 5pm on May 8th. Download and print a map of the participating businesses and spend the afternoon taking in the Artists’ exhibitions while sample the complementary tastes of Chinatown.
Enjoy live music and entertainment outdoors and experience Chinatown like you never have before. Take part and vote for your favourite muralist and then watch the wall of The Royal Treasure Restaurant change over the summer.
Art work will be exhibited throughout the month and you can come back time and time again to have a better look and maybe even a longer sit down at one of our fine establishments.
