The exuberant owner Kenny Giang warmly welcomes you to his extraordinary gift shop where there’s much to explore. Be it comical Shaolin figurines (their shades falling down their noses), a bottle-green frosted-and-cut-glass saké set or carved mortar and pestle of heavy-duty granite, there’s got to be something here you want. Even something you need. A good-quality wok perhaps? Or, of all things . . . a coconut peeler.

Oriental Charm also displays their endless varieties of decorative Chinese garden and interior pots, including one in white with tiny pairs of lobsters, delicately painted in black. In the furniture room, find an oversized pot—diameter of 70 cm!—with Delft-blue landscape paintings. A beaut to set in your entrance-way. Clothing is sold here, too. A skinny black sheath dress is simply gorgeous, with its burgundy trim and large figurative embroidery of a green florid phoenix and two lively red dragons.
